Being in alignment with our ancestors and our life's purpose is one of the best possible blessings of protection there can be. Like a flowing river, we can be guided by the Ancestors who act as the sacred banks that support our lives' flow to move with ease and grace, especially as we face the challenges of learning and growing.
The Ancestors are powerful protectors because they can guide us in a direction which is filled with the insight of their otherworldly perspective. Clear guidance can support us in taking actions which will protect us. When we develop our ability to communicate with the Ancestors, which is both the ability to share information with them and to hear what they have to say in response, we can avoid all kinds of trouble by acting in alignment with their wisdoms. Following the guidance of the Ancestors means that we are really clear with ourselves about what it is that we need and want to live our purpose.
The Ancestors inventory what we think we need to move forward and support us in manifesting what we really need to move in the direction of least resistance and healing. Many times we don’t understand why things are happening the way they are, and it is in those moments that there are often hidden Ancestral wisdoms that point us in the direction of our highest good, even if we can’t see it right away.
The Ancestors also protect us in many ways unseen. When forces of adversity attempt to influence our psyche or throw us off the path of our purpose, the Ancestors are always there to warn us, to guide us, and to help us along the healing journey to reclaiming our power, so negative forces will not be able to influence us again. The Ancestors are connected to many otherworldly beings who are able to defend our sacred space, and when we give our Ancestors permission to “hire” these helpers we can become especially protected. Angels, Wild-Nature spirits, Mountain Spirits, Warrior spirits, ancient protectors, and many more, can be part of our team of protection spirits around us when we enlist them with the help of our Ancestors.
